Dr. Zoe Baxter was born and raised in the Boise area. She attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR where she earned a B.S. in biology. At this time, she and her future husband spent a semester abroad going to school in Australia after which she spent a year in Seattle, WA as an animal control officer for King County.
She then moved to Pullman to attend Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her DVM. After graduating, Dr. Baxter and her husband moved back to the Boise area where she began working at Ada Animal Hospital in 2006. Dr. Baxter has worked in the veterinary field for almost 20 years at many different clinics in 3 Northwest cities, as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician and a veterinarian.
Her expertise, experience and ability to relate to not only animals, but clients as well, have been a major factor in putting Ada Animal Hospital in the forefront of excellent veterinary care and client relations.
Her priority is spending quality time with her husband, three children (1 son and 2 daughters) as well as their growing farm. You will often times find the family doing local activities together as well as traveling, camping and spending time gardening on their property.
She also keeps busy with a multitude of pets which include 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens, a standard horse, mini donkeys, a mini horse, two cows (so far), as well as occasionally a foster litter or two. She also enjoys spending time with friends, reading, volleyball and doing research.
