Wayne Loertscher was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He grew up on a ranch where his favorite activity was working with the horses and cattle. Wayne graduated from Bonnerville High School. After graduation he attended Ricks College (now BYU Idaho) where he met the love of his life, Erin.
After serving a mission in England, he attended Utah State University receiving his B.S. Degree in 1996 and two years later received his DVM from Washington State University. Wayne started his profession in Reno, Nevada where he practiced for five years.
In 2003 he purchased and now runs Ada Animal Hospital as its Senior Veterinarian. His dedication and generous nature resonates with clients and staff alike. His main goal in becoming a veterinarian was not only to help animals but people as well and he definitely stays true to that! He would eventually like to focus more on pet dentistry as he finds that aspect of pet care not only interesting, but rewarding as well.
Dr. Loertscher and his wife have six children and are very involved with all of them. He enjoys family activities such as hiking, camping and riding horses as well as wood and leather working and archery. One of his favorite activities is taking his family and going to Bone, Idaho to help his Dad with their ranch. His own animal clan includes a herding dog named Midnight, four horses and several chickens.
