Lisa Baker, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Although Lisa was born in California, she is an Idaho girl as she moved to Garden Valley with her family at age 6. After graduating from there she joined the army, completing her first year with the Military Police in Korea. She then was stationed in Georgia for the remainder of her military career. After serving for approximately 5 ½ years, Lisa decided to act on her long standing desire to work with animals. She enrolled at Brown Mackie College to pursue an Associated Degree in Veterinary Technology.

In September, 2016, after graduating and passing her state board, Lisa received her certification in Veterinary Technology, Lisa joined our Ada family. Lisa has quickly adapted to her role as Certified Veterinary Technician. There are many times she pursues further information from the Doctors so she can relate “real world” situations to the knowledge she has received in her schooling. She loves to jump in and get hands on experience whenever she can, thus becoming a very valuable and well-thought of member of the staff. She is very professional in her duties, but definitely slides into the “I love animals” demeanor when a cute fur baby walks in the door.

Lisa has two children (3, counting “Axle”, her English Mastiff). She loves hiking and anything else that involves the outdoors. Even though she has been many interesting places with her army career, she is very happy to be in Boise and to be following her chosen career path.
